Will government incentives encourage flexi-work in Malaysia?

Malaysia is looking to incentivise businesses to offer more flexible working arrangements amid South-East Asia’s ongoing war for talent.

At a meeting for the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce on 17 April, Human Resources Minister Steven Sim said his government is looking to “use encouragement or incentivise” businesses to be more flexible.

“We are looking at ways on how to provide advisory services as well as tax incentives to enable employers to adopt flexible working arrangements,” he said.
