New Zealand’s immigration system is under scrutiny after an anonymous whistleblower alleged deficiencies in the country’s temporary work visas programme.

Announcing an urgent independent review into the Accredited Employer Work Visa scheme (AEWVS), Immigration Minister Andrew Little told reporters last Friday night that he had been sent a letter from a whistleblower days earlier.
