The UK Supreme Court has ruled it unlawful for employers to make inducements to employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement in a major victory for unions and their members.

The landmark judgment, delivered on 27 October, emphasises the importance of fair dealing in industrial relations and reinforces the rights of trade unions under Article 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
