The UK Labour party would introduce new workplace equality legislation, covering race and disability, should it win the next general election, it has revealed today.

The UK’s existing Equality Act, passed by the last Labour government in 2010, entitles men and women to equal pay for equal work. But Labour’s proposed Race Equality Act would ensure equal pay rights for ethnic minority workers and disabled people.
