South Korea’s President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol has pledged to remove regulations hindering businesses to facilitate investment and spur economic growth.

Yoon is a former prosecutor who entered politics last year, as the candidate for the conservative People Power Party. He won a closely fought election by less than 1% on 9 March and will assume office in May. During the election campaign, he promised to cut red tape and assist businesses.
