Marriott International has reached a settlement agreement that will provide hundreds of workers terminated during the pandemic with almost $3m in undelivered severance pay.

When more than 800 workers at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square were fired in March 2021, non-unionised employees received less severance pay than union members, despite management promises that they would receive the same or better benefits.
