Pioneering Danish labour lawyer Mariann Norrbom, former managing partner of Norrbom Vinding, has passed away aged 73 after a long period of illness, the firm she co-founded announced last week.

Lawyers from across the international employment and labour law community have described Norrbom as a “powerful force”, trailblazer, and role model for women in the legal profession.

Born in 1949, Norrbom began her legal career at Advokaterne Ny Vestergade in the early 1980s. There she quickly made a name for herself in the nascent practice of employment and labour law in Denmark.
