Long-awaited staff protections provided by new Luxembourg law

A new Luxembourg law giving employees protection from abusive behaviour, perpetrated not only by co-workers or bosses but also by third parties, came into effect this week.

Passed by lawmakers on 14 March, the law introduces a broad definition of moral harassment into the country’s labour code. Moral harassment is defined as any conduct which, by its repetition or systematisation, is detrimental to the dignity or psychological and physical integrity of a person.
