Meta lost a bid this week to overturn an interim order preventing it from engaging a new content moderation subcontractor in Kenya until a court can determine if the social media giant can be sued in the East African country.

The US tech company is facing several legal challenges related to its previous arrangement with content moderation firm Sama. The Nairobi-based firm announced the mass redundancy of 260 content moderators earlier this year.
