On 28 June, President Javier Milei succeeded in his ambitious and highly controversial objective of reforming labour law in Argentina.
The “Foundation Law, Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines”, Law No. 27,742 (FL) entered into force on 9 July, with the aims of promoting the growth of formal and private employment, and modernising labour regulations – for example, by introducing the ability to issue payslips through electronic means.
