Leading French firm Gide Loyrette Nouel has launched a new employee shareholding practice following the arrival of a seven-strong team in Paris from Shearman & Sterling.

The new practice is led by Sami Toutounji, the former head of Shearman’s European governance and benefits team, and Françoise Even. Their arrival brings Gide’s partner headcount to 120.
