A UK government lawyer who was sacked after reporting concerns about alleged judicial corruption within the EU’s biggest civil mission has settled an employment tribunal claim for £423,000.

After blowing the whistle on possible collusion between EU officials and suspected criminals in Kosovo, barrister Maria Bamieh claimed that a lack of support from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) resulted in her removal from EULEX, the EU’s Rule of Law Mission.
