Multinational e-commerce giant eBay has agreed to pay a $3m (£2.35m) criminal fine in connection with its employees’ harassment and stalking of a Massachusetts couple, the Department of Justice confirmed Thursday.

The victims, Ina and David Steiner, who publish the EcommerceBytes news site, were targeted after publishing a story revealing that eBay was suing Amazon for allegedly poaching sellers.
