A significant update to the Czech labour code earlier this month aims to improve the work-life balance and wellbeing of workers in Czechia ­– but not everyone is happy.

Aiming to comply with recent EU directives on transparent and predictable working conditions and work-life balance for parents and carers, amendments to Czechia’s labour code cover the rights of contract workers, remote work regulations, digital contracts, and overtime laws for healthcare workers.
