Croatian retailers must comply with new restrictions aimed at limiting work on Sundays from 1 July. But the country’s latest attempt at providing employees with greater work-life balance looks set to face a legal challenge by employers fearful of lost profits.
In a bid to improve employees’ work-life balance, retail stores can now only be open on Sundays up to 16 times a year. This year is the one exception, as stores will be allowed to open for 16 Sundays between now and the new year.
