Competition authorities are flexing their muscles at the national level, with several significant fines being issued against businesses for alleged anti-competitive behaviour within the sphere of employment law.

While it is easy to see competition law through the lens of non-competes, non-solicitation, and trade secret protection, care should also be given to contact between businesses that may give rise to allegations of cartel-like behaviour when it comes to employment matters.
