Pascale Lagesse is a Partner and head of Bredin Prat’s Employment Law practice. She has over 25 years of experience advising international corporate clients.
Her practice focuses on the employment issues arising out of mergers & acquisitions and corporate downsizings and restructurings. She has extensive experience advising employers on how to effectively plan for and implement these types of operations, including how to best manage information and consultation procedures, employee transfers, harmonization of employee benefits, etc.
Pascale is a seasoned litigator with significant experience defending corporate clients in collective disputes with unions, works councils and other employee representative bodies arising out of large-scale reorganizations, strikes, business disposals and similar operations.
She also advises companies on day-to-day employment issues such as executive severance packages and separation agreements, employee share plans, whistleblowing policies, the employment aspects of insolvency procedures, as well as expatriation and outsourcing arrangements.
Pascale is active in various legal organizations and in particular the International Bar Association (IBA) with which she has been involved for many years. She is presently the Assistant Treasurer of the IBA and a member of the Management Board.
Pascale is a graduate of the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas (Maîtrise Carrières Judiciaires) and the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (DEA en Droit Privé). She was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1989 and was elected to the National Bar Council of France in 2005. Prior to joining Bredin Prat, she served as the head of the Employment, Pensions and Benefits practice of a leading Magic Circle firm.
