In a landmark judgment, the UK's Supreme Court has ruled that a music teacher who works only part year is entitled to the same level of holiday pay as her colleagues who work all year round.
The UK’s largest union Unison, which got involved in the case, said that all workers in the country will now receive the same minimum level of paid annual holiday leave, regardless of how many hours they work. Employment lawyers argue that the ruling will have significant repercussions for employers.
