From the war in Ukraine and climate change to abortion, gender, and LGBTQ+ rights, employees are increasingly looking to organisational leadership to take a stand on issues important to them. But should employers, and their lawyers, be agents of societal change or are the risks just too great?

That was one of the questions a panel of experts was asked to consider at a workshop on corporate social responsibility and employee activism during this month’s IBA conference in Madrid.
