In a tight post-covid labour market, many businesses are trialling new benefits schemes to attract and retain talent who are increasingly demanding more workplace flexibility. Danske Bank is hoping its newly revamped career-break policy will do just that and build on its aspirations to be a “best place to work”.
The scheme, launched at the beginning of June, is open to staff in Northern Ireland and Great Britain who, upon one year of service, can apply for a career break of up to 12 months. The time away can be extended, where required, at the discretion of the bank.
