Multinational businesses operating in Abu Dhabi’s international financial centre will likely face a raft of new whistleblower protection rules later this year amid a regional trend aimed at greater corporate accountability.

A consultation proposes the enactment of the Whistleblower Protections Regulations, with the goal of enhancing and expanding the scope of current protections for workers within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)’s jurisdiction – one of the world’s largest financial districts.
