Japan’s largest employers are increasingly offering their staff four-day working weeks in a bid to attract and retain talent, boost productivity, and improve work-life balance.
In April, multinational conglomerate Hitachi became the latest company to announce it would allow staff to work nine-to-ten hours a day, four days a week. Employees will also be able to take addition time off if they complete their monthly hours early.
