Scandal-hit Wells Fargo is reviewing its diversity hiring programme following a criminal investigation into “sham interviews” of racial minority and female job seekers.

The bank’s “diverse slate” guidelines, introduced in mid-2020, stipulated that at least half the candidates interviewed for jobs paying $100,000 or more needed to be from diverse backgrounds.
