KPMG and AMEX among US firms fined for discriminatory job posts

Sixteen employers will collectively pay more than $800,000 in civil penalties to resolve Department of Justice (DoJ) claims alleging they each discriminated against non-US citizens in job postings on college websites.

The DoJ’s action followed the filing of a discrimination complaint by a lawful permanent resident alleging that one company advertised a US-citizens only position on a recruitment platform operated by the Georgia Institute of Technology.
