A UK employment tribunal has held that long covid is a disability, allowing a caretaker who was dismissed from his job to bring a claim of disability discrimination against his former employer.

In its judgment, the tribunal in Scotland concluded that the novel coronavirus left Terence Burke with “substantial and long-term” side effects.
