DEI progressing slowly within elite US law firms, ABA study finds

From associates to equity partners, the number of Hispanic, Asian, and Black lawyers in some of the largest US law firms is slowly increasing, according to a new report from the American Bar Association (ABA).

The ABA surveyed 287 firms containing more than 100,000 attorneys nationwide about their demographics, hiring, promotions, leadership, compensation, attrition, and diversity initiatives in 2020.
