Male managers are hampering gender equality efforts, with a majority believing their organisation could navigate future challenges without gender balance in leadership roles, new research has found.
The study by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) showed that despite ongoing efforts, workplace gender equality remains elusive. The research, which polled 1,149 managers across the UK, found that male managers were passive, and even actively resisting attempts to make the workplace more equal.
