In the aftermath of the covid pandemic, the demand for international employment law specialists continues to outstrip supply, says Don Dowling, a Littler shareholder based in New York, who believes the future is exceedingly bright for a specialism that only a few decades ago was considered a less-than-viable area of practice.

Years before any practitioners had staked out “international employment law” as a discrete professional focus, Dowling was one of an early handful of dreamers who saw the potential for a truly global employment practice as a subspecialism of employment law.
