Specialisms

The team is well placed to act on a host of individual and collective employment issues, including those that are cross-border. In addition, owing to the firm’s full-service offering, the team is able to work alongside experts from other practice areas to offer full support to clients.

As part of this, the department advises on restructuring operations (including mass dismissals), transfers of undertaking, outsourcing, and the harmonisation of working conditions within these operations.

On the contentious side, the team acts on litigation against trade unions and both individual and groups of employees. Moreover, the department has experience in liaising with unions in the context of announced strikes.

The firm also offers comprehensive support in compensation matters, such as compliance and executive remuneration – including stock options, warrant plans, and other forms of alternative remuneration. 

A further area of activity is in pensions matters, for which the team acts for employers, pension funds, and insurers. This expertise is regularly leveraged in M&A transactions, outsourcing, and dismissals.
