CGM’s employment offering is headed by Patricia Barboza in São Paulo. Maury Lobo is another key name in the department.

Specialisms

The team advises on all labour and employment issues, from day-to-day support through to representation in disputes, as well as audits and sensitive senior executive dismissals.

A notable area of prowess is in internal investigations before the Labour Prosecution Office, including those related to health and safety violations, working time, and discrimination allegations.

On the consultancy side, the team is well-versed in supporting clients with the employment aspects of M&A and other corporate transactions.

This expertise spans employee transfer, and post-merger benefits harmonisation and employee integration.

On the labour relations side, the department is adept at managing collective agreements and avoiding strike action.

Team members also offer expertise in D&I, immigration, and social security – as well as in novel intellectual property issues impacting employees.
