AYACHE

Highly regarded standalone team

France

Overview

AYACHEs small but powerful Paris-based team is highlighted for its practical approach to issues facing workforces.

The team is just so responsive, and really helpful.

Caroline André-Hesse – who was recognised in IEL’s 2022 Women Leaders survey – and Justine Coret co-lead the practice.

The team is well placed to assist with cross-border matters, and foreign law firms regularly call on the department to act on the French elements of complex multi-jurisdictional instructions.

Specialisms

The department prides itself on providing business-oriented advice across the full spectrum of employment law issues – from the day-to-day through to one-off matters.

The latter includes employer-side representation at the labour courts, in both collective and individual litigation. Recent work has spanned disputes over the validity of employment contracts, through to allegations that employers have not sufficiently assured workplace health and safety.

The group is also regularly instructed on the employment law issues related to M&A or restructuring operations, including those that involve collective terminations as well as re-employment solutions for impacted staff. Notably, the team works closely with other practice groups – such as corporate and banking – to garner a broader understanding of the issues at stake for clients.

Other areas of expertise include mobility and expatriation issues, as well as audits.
