Specialisms

The group covers the gamut of employment issues. Areas of focus include whistleblowing, D&I, data breaches, and issues impacting senior members of staff, as well as the employment aspects of corporate transactions, and outsourcing, workplace investigations, and crisis management.

The department is able to offer clients facing contentious matters both litigation and alternative dispute resolution support. Team members have experience representing employers before various courts and the Workplace Relations Commission in a wide range of claims – from unfair dismissal claims through to those relating to occupational stress, retirement, bullying, and discrimination.

Notably, the team is adept at taking on matters involving trade unions. Experience spans obtaining injunctions to halt unlawful picketing and “sit ins”, trade union recognition, and collective bargaining agreements.
