In a warning to foreign employers of Filipino workers abroad, the Philippine Supreme Court has ruled that it is illegal to fire an employee solely for testing positive for HIV even if the employer is in a foreign country.  

Judges said the ruling was in line with the state’s promise to protect workers locally and abroad.
