Seven-in-ten firms operating across the UK’s biggest industries admit they are unlikely to pass an on-the-spot inspection from Britain’s Health & Safety Executive (HSE) due to a lack of compliance data, new research reveals.

The findings follow a survey of 2,000 UK businesses operating across the utilities and renewables, telecoms and broadband, defence, transport, pharmaceutical, and healthcare sectors by asset management specialist BPD Zenith.
