A family in Japan has been granted workman’s compensation after the suicide of a young engineer working abroad was declared work-related.

This is the latest in a long line of karojisatsu, or “overwork suicides”, in Japan which, alongside karōshi, or “death by overwork”, continues to be a stain on Japanese corporate culture.
