An employee who swore and pushed a superior should not have been terminated, Malaysia’s Industrial court has held in a recent ruling, finding the dismissal “unduly harsh and severe”.

In June 2020, Haniz Naz Azniza Hamzah lost her job at airport management company Malaysia Airports Holding (MAHB), following an altercation with her manager, Sergeant Asmiza Sudin, outside a McDonald’s at Penang International Airport.
